Houston Methodist Academic Institute will host an informational webinar on the NCI SBIR/STTR program, funding opportunities, and commercialization resources during their ‘Lunch and Learn Series’ on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. CT. NCI SBIR Program Directors Patricia Weber and Swamy Tripurani will provide attendees with an overview of the following:

  • NCI SBIR/STTR programs
  • Funding opportunities for start-ups, academic spinout companies, and early-stage academic entrepreneurs (e.g., postdoctoral fellows)
  • Tips for writing competitive SBIR/STTR grant proposals
  • Commercialization resources for applicants and awardees

Following the presentation, select attendees will participate in one-on-one discussions with the NCI SBIR program directors to discuss their cancer innovation and funding eligibility. Contact OTT@houstonmethodist.org if you would like to schedule a meeting.
