Read about our Phase IIB Bridge program and funded Bridge Awardees. The purpose of this award is to address the funding gap known as the "Valley of Death" between the end of the SBIR Phase II award and the subsequent round of financing needed to advance a product or service toward commercialization. To achieve this goal, the Bridge Award funding opportunity is specifically designed to incentivize partnerships between NIH's SBIR Phase II awardees and third-party investors and/or strategic partners.
NCI SBIR is interested in connecting SBIR- and STTR-funded companies with potential investors and strategic partners to continue the research and commercialization efforts initially funded by NCI. To help facilitate the connection, NCI SBIR has been organizing Investor Initiatives as a means to connect companies with targeted investors and strategic partners on a regular basis throughout the year. The NCI SBIR Investor Initiatives program provides selected SBIR companies with resources to present at national showcases where they can explore partnering and investment opportunities. Browse the 2020 NCI SBIR Investor Book to view the executive summaries of the companies selected for the 2020-2021 program.
If you are interested in becoming a reviewer for this program or if you would like more information about how our office works with investors and strategic partners, please reach out to Brittany Connors at email@example.com. If you come across any companies of interest while browsing the Investor Books, we are happy to make introductions.
